Harttia surinamensis is a species of armored catfish of the family native to the coastal blackwater rivers of Suriname and French Guiana. This species grows to a length of 18.8 centimetres (7.4 in) SL. Adult males have very well developed odontodes on the front edges of their pectoral fins.[2]
